This Colfax condo overlooks the Midtown Greenway, offering stunning city views of Uptown Minneapolis. Despite its desirable location, this top-floor unit lacked storage and style and clashed with our clients’ refined tastes.
The condo, purchased in 2005, retained several original features – like exposed spiral ductwork and outdated track lighting and was in need of a serious update. Our team got to work planning for what was originally a kitchen and primary bath renovation. The clients quickly added to the scope of work and the project became a total home renovation, with the goals of maximizing the floor plan and incorporating stylish touches throughout that reflect the clients’ individuality.
KITCHEN
The new kitchen is complimented by unique light fixtures creating a modern vibe. The abundance of storage is a welcome change, providing plenty of space for kitchen gadgets and cookware. The kitchen includes details that blend navy and walnut panels for a custom furniture-like finish. Unique hardware, a hidden sound system, and pull-out storage behind cabinet doors create a beautiful and highly functional chef’s kitchen.
HOME OFFICE
Our team reimagined the overall floor plan to maximize efficiency in this modern concept condo, transforming a poorly functioning office space behind the kitchen. The office showcases custom cabinetry that houses the owner’s photography equipment, computer station, and photoshoot supplies. Utilizing the same color scheme and materials as the kitchen creates a visual connection between the two spaces and elevates the home office to that of a couture study.

BATHROOMS
Our designers brought the client’s vision to life with geometric-patterned wallpaper, impeccable tilework, a deep soaking tub, and floor-to-ceiling cabinets in the guest suite bath. We paired metallic fixtures with a warm wood vanity to strike the perfect balance between serene and chic. In the Owners’ suite bath, we added a zero-entry shower with a full glass wall, floor-to-ceiling built-in linen, and double vanity, all accented by an elegant blush pink wallpaper.
